Death Valley trek, (Nevada USA) was at the time the most strenuous challenge to date for me and was achieved in 2010 for Little Havens Children’s Hospice. Death Valley is a desert valley located in Eastern California’s Mojave Desert, the lowest, driest, and hottest area in North America.
This was a fantastic personal achievement for me that covered eighteen strenuous trekking destinations over a period of fourteen days. One of which was Furness Creek that held the World Record for the hottest recorded temperature on earth at 56.7ºC. I also climbed 5840ft. Corkscrew Peak which is one of the most commanding and recognisable mountains due to it’s form and position at the side of Death Valley.
